What is Tor Camp?
See the
TorCamp page on the
Bar Camp wiki.
TorCamp is a community of people in the Toronto area: designers, developers, marketers, PR people, executives, testers, quality assurance specialists, consultants, recruiters, network administrators, business developers, venture capitalists, angel investors, policy analysts, etc. The goal is to build an open community of individuals and companies and to provide open events to inspire and instill a sense of community in the Toronto technology scene.
A Tor Camp Community Project (cm)
Tor Camp Community Projects emerge from the
community itself. Leadership is self-organized from within, event patterns are open and reusable, and
Bar Camp principles are enforced through community action. The
Community Mark (cm) is also defended by community action.
Tor Camp Projects are
public spaces for play, work, learning and collaboration. They are powered by participation and protected by openness.
Tor Camp is an Open Community - This Means You!
The
TorCamp wiki page has most of the information you need to find us online. First stop is usually the
Tor Camp Google Group email list, which is of course
open and
free to join. But you can also find us online on
Upcoming,
Flickr, and a lot of other places.
